Catering by The Christy is known for our delicious food options and fantastic service! Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about our catering services.

What types of events do you cater?

Our catering services are perfect for weddings, corporate functions and holiday parties, and a variety of private events, including daytime events/lunches. No event is too big or too small for us!

Where can you cater?

The Christy is a banquet center with venues in St. Louis and O’Fallon, MO and we can cater anywhere in the St. Louis, MO area. We can travel up to 60 miles away and sometimes more. If your venue is not one of our preferred vendors, we can still provide off-premise catering to venues that welcome outside caterers.

What is included in your event catering?

Our event catering services are completely inclusive — one simple price per person covers all necessary extras including delivery, set-up, coffee, service, and bussing. Start with the selection of your menu, then you can add on any additional features a la carte, including hors d’oeuvres, liquor service, and a variety of desserts. Contact us for pricing.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, for off-premise events a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve your date. We accept payment by cash, check, or major credit cards.

When is the final payment required?

3 weeks prior to your event date.

Are you individually wrapping your meals?

Yes, we are taking all necessary precautions during COVID-19 to keep our community safe. For events requiring individually wrapped meals, such as corporate lunches, we offer Boxed Lunches.

Minimum of 10 meals.

Can I substitute items or change the menus?

Yes, while our recommended buffet menus have been expertly designed, our chefs will work with you to create a custom menu. View our On-Premise Buffet Menu and Hors d’Oeuvres options. Are there vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-free options?

Yes, we have many options for vegetarians, vegans, or those with food sensitivities. Please let us know how many guests require an alternative option, and we will work with you on a menu custom to their dietary needs.

Do you have any children’s options?

Yes, we can do children’s menus upon request.

Do you offer tastings?

Yes, complimentary tastings for up to 4 people are available when working with our chefs to select your menu options.

When do you need to know the number of guests?

We will need your final guest count 3 weeks prior to your event date.

How late can menu changes be made?

In order to move forward with preparations, we ask that all details are finalized 2 weeks prior to your event. We understand that unanticipated things can arise in the final weeks before your event, and with the exception of lowering your guest count, we can generally make minor adjustments.

What if there are leftovers?

We package all leftovers for you to take at the conclusion of your event.

Is gratuity included?

No, we don’t automatically charge a gratuity. Gratuity is always appreciated but never expected.

What if I need to cancel? 

If you must cancel your event, you can do so; however, all deposits are non-refundable.
