COVID-19 Protocols

The Christy Banquet Centers & Catering and Picnic People St. Louis are committed to doing their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while supporting the health and well-being of our customers and communities, which is our top priority. We are closely following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

While we maintain an “A” rating with the St. Louis Health Department who thoroughly inspects our kitchens & facilities, we have reinforced our excellent standard protocols and will continue to actively educate our team members on the recommended steps issued by local, state, and national health officials.



We have implemented the following COVID-19 protocols:

Banquet Halls
We have increased the frequency of sanitizing all surfaces that might be touched using certified disinfectants to kill COVID-19 germs.

We have dedicated staff that is focused on cleaning and sanitizing high-traffic areas like entrances, doors, handles, and bathrooms every hour throughout the day.

Signs have been provided at the entrance of each event to inform guests of all policies and procedures provided by The Christy and their hosts and to ensure their safety and well-being.

We have also implemented additional deep cleaning measures before and after business hours.

Hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout our venues, including before buffet lines, for guests and staff to apply thoroughly.

 

Kitchen

In addition to our standard health and safety protocol, we have renewed our emphasis on the frequency of washing hands for at least 20 seconds with disinfectant soap and water.

Additionally, our team members who prepare or cook your food wear gloves, which are changed frequently, as per our standard sanitation protocols.

We have implemented additional, around-the-clock cleaning and sanitation procedures in our kitchen.

 

Buffets

All buffets and food stations are equipped with acrylic barriers between servers and guests.

All food items are served by our trained staff to your guests as they come through the line, which we monitor to ensure fewer crowds.

 

Staff

We are being proactive with monitoring and educating our staff and team members to ensure anyone who may be ill or could have been exposed to any infectious disease stays home.

Our staff members have their temperatures taken before each shift.
