How to Prepare for “A Taste of The Christy”

You’ve set your date, now it’s time to fill your plate! A tasting can be one of the most enjoyable and helpful tools when planning an event. Here are a few tips to help you prepare for “A Taste of The Christy” and ensure you leave satisfied!

Ask in advance. If possible, choose to attend your caterer’s tasting before securing your date. This will allow you to make an informed decision and choose a caterer whose worth their salt! At The Christy Banquet Centers and Catering, we offer a complimentary tasting prior to booking your event. When you attend “A Taste of The Christy,” you’ll have the opportunity to sample our most popular dishes and discover the quality and presentation of our menu.

Bring important decision-makers. Whether it’s an elaborate corporate function or ultimate dream wedding you’re planning, it’s essential to try and schedule your tasting when the important decision-makers can be present. For weddings, it’s common to bring parents or even future in-laws! Be careful however; sometimes too many cooks in the kitchen can make for a lengthy decision-making process. We welcome four guests from each event to attend “A Taste of The Christy” at no charge!

Be prepared. Take time prior to your tasting to outline important details for discussion with your Event Coordinator. Having your key questions outlined beforehand will help you maximize your experience and leave feeling confident you can decide the best fit for your event. Taking notes will also help refresh your memory when it comes time to make a final decision, in addition to your menu selections closer to the event. At “A Taste of The Christy” we provide you with a copy of our menu to make notes on each dish you sample, as well as any additional comments from the tasting.
